Ruby Chavez (@theConsejera) has over 9 years of College
and Counseling Advising.
Ruby is a proud daughter of immigrants and the first in her family to pursue higher education in the United States.
As a first-generation Mexican-American coming from a low-income background, she holds to her heart to give back to her community while motivating and inspiring the next generation of students.
Ruby graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History; Latin America & Latino Studies and San Jose State University with a Masters of Arts in Education Counseling.
As a School Counselor, she dedicates her work to helping students with higher education opportunities and post-secondary options.
